We are retained as expert structural engineers acting for the Insurers of the Bolands Mill project. Bolands Mill is a large mixed use development comprising approximately 48,000 sq. m. of residential, office, retail, cultural and ancillary related floor uses.
Our services are to investigate and report on various allegations of damage to adjacent properties arising from the construction works.
2HQ were appointed to provide full design and project management services for the reinstatement of this difficult site located at the Russell Centre in Tallaght, Dublin 24. The fire remediation works are located at second floor level above the Luas Red Line and next to National Ambulance Service Centre / HSE medical facility.
Our services included full design of the relevant works, Health & Safety and development of necessary tender documentation, including a pricing document.

Certain damage has been caused to the properties and the developer has undertaken to underpin and repair the properties. We are working with the hospital team to agree the works and procedures for the repairs to the properties.

2HQ are providing structural engineering services to the management company during investigation and remediation of faulty balconies at a residential development in Ballycullen, Dublin 24.
We have provided Project Management, PSDP and Civil Engineering services in the remediation of defective drainage, sports hall roof replacement and a full refurbishment of all school toilet facilities.
2HQ provided Structural Engineering and Project Management services in relation to a full structural assessment of this Protected Structure building. The more recent works have included certain chimney repairs and fire proofing works.
We provided Expert Engineering services for the assessment and reinstatement of the swimming pool building, arising from a roof failure incident during a storm in February 2014.
We were project managers and engineers in relation to the structural repair of a Protected Structure arising from foundation subsidence. The works included underpinning of foundations masonry repairs and drainage repairs.
